Me, Us, Them? Subjectivity, Identity, Belonging

On 11–14 September 2019, in Wrocław there will be held the next, 17th, Polish Sociological Congress, co-organized by the Polish Sociological Association and the Institute of Sociology, University of Wrocław. This time the meeting is going to be held under the theme “Me, Us, Them? Subjectivity, Identity, Belonging”. It makes it possible for representatives of all sociological subdisciplines and related sciences to participate actively in the event and allows a new approach – to integration and conflicts, to capitals and values, to diverse faces of multiculturalism and to the consequences of contemporary migrations, to struggles for social order and lifestyles, to the identity and condition of the Polish sociology, to the role played by sociologists in the contemporary world, to old and new social problems, to debordering and rebordering of various kinds, to the complexity of the contemporary world.

Margaret S. Archer, British Professor of sociology, the graduate of the London School of Economic and Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Paris, she held teaching posts at University of Cambridge, London School of Economics, University of Reading, full Professor at the University of Warwick since 1979, she also led the Centre for Social Ontology” at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. The first woman president of the International Sociological Association elected for the 1986-1990 term.
